Every Iroofia piece is handcrafted with care by our women artisans in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Because our products are made entirely by hand using natural raffia fibre, slight variations in colour, texture, or weave are an inherent characteristic of handmade craftsmanship — not a defect. We take care to represent our products accurately through detailed descriptions and photographs.
We want you to love your purchase. If something is not right, we are here to help.
1. Return Eligibility
We accept returns under the following conditions:
The item was received damaged, defective, or is significantly different from its description on our website
You notify us within 14 days of receiving your order
The item is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging
The following are not eligible for return:
Custom or personalised orders
Items that show signs of use, wear, or damage caused after receipt
Return requests made more than 14 days after confirmed delivery
2. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, please:
Email us at contact@iroofia.com with the subject: RETURN – [Your Order Number]
Include your full name, order number, reason for the return, and photos if the item is damaged or defective
Wait for our confirmation — we will respond within 3 business days with return instructions
Please do not send items back without prior confirmation from our team.
3. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of our decision. If approved:
A full refund in USD will be issued to your original payment method within 7–10 business days
Original shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is the result of our error (wrong item sent, defective product)
If the return does not meet our eligibility criteria, we will contact you and offer to return the item to you at your expense.
4. Exchanges
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please initiate a return (if eligible) and place a new order separately.
5. Return Shipping Costs
Defective or incorrect items: Iroofia covers all return shipping costs
Change of mind or other reasons: return shipping is at the customer’s expense
We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning items. Iroofia is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Our products are made entirely by hand by skilled artisan women in Madagascar. Natural variations in weave, colour, and texture are part of what makes each piece unique. These characteristics are not considered defects and do not qualify for a return. We provide clear, accurate product photography and descriptions to help you shop with confidence.
