Behind Iroofia is a team of mostly women and a few good men coming from different professional backgrounds and life experiences.
Some came from social work, others from business, craft, or community development. What brings them together is a shared commitment to Iroofia's mission, creating meaningful economic opportunities for women artisans while delivering quality products to international markets.
Each team member plays a distinct role in our operations, from production management and quality control to client relations and artisan support. Together, they ensure that Iroofia runs with both professionalism and purpose.
At Iroofia, the team behind the brand reflects the women it was built for skilled, resourceful, and driven by a clear sense of direction.
A word from an artisan
My name is Marie, and I am an artisan.
I’ve been crocheting since 2010. It is a craft that has been part of my hands and my heart for over a decade. Before that, I worked as an embroiderer. But everything changed in 2019, when I joined Razafindrabe, now known as Iroofia.
Today, I don’t just work, I live my passion, and I thrive in it. I no longer simply survive; I build a life I’m proud of. And the impact goes far beyond me: because of this work, my son was able to finish his schooling.
I still dream of growing further, of becoming even better at my craft, and one day helping other women find the same path I found. And there’s something truly special in knowing that, somewhere far away, people hold my work in their hands and love it.
